PETER RAFFAI
My journey in sports began at the age of seven with soccer, followed by a shift to track and field athletics, where I achieved notable success, including winning the 2018 National Championship of Hungary in decathlon. These experiences shaped my athletic career and inspired my commitment to understanding human movement and optimizing athletic performance.
In 2018, I completed my Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sport Science at the Hungarian University of Physical Education, followed by a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Kinesiology in 2021. These programs provided a strong foundation in exercise science, biomechanics, and sports therapy, enabling me to specialize in strength training, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
From 2019 to 2023, I served as the Head Video Analyst at the Honvéd Elite State Basketball Academy in Hungary, where I led the club's sports science research initiatives. My role involved integrating advanced movement analysis systems to assess player performance and injury risks. I also presented our research findings at the 2022 National Congress of Young Sports Scientists, with the work later published in the Hungarian Journal of Sports Science.
Additionally, I worked with 15-19-year-old football players in Eger, delivering tailored movement assessments and performance optimization programs to support their development.
Between 2021 and 2024, I was the movement analyst and data analyst for Gyöngyös, a first-class handball club in Hungary. This role involved providing detailed assessments and data-driven insights to enhance player performance and reduce injury risks, further broadening my expertise in high-performance sports environments.
In the 2023-2024 season, I worked at FTC Soccer Club as a strength and movement specialist for the U17 girls' team and extended my expertise to the youth academy. My work included comprehensive sports science assessments, dynamometric testing, strength training, and performance optimization. This contributed significantly to the academy's success, with all youth teams winning national championships.
During the same period, I joined FTC Water Polo as a performance analyst. I provided high-level data analysis and injury prevention strategies, playing a vital role in the team's victory in the prestigious LEN Champions League.
I am passionate about helping athletes achieve their best through strength training, injury prevention, and performance enhancement. My mission is to combine science and practice to foster athletic development and long-term well-being.
